. . . was the word.
But right after the word . . .
. . . was the writer.
I’m a writer.
I write stuff.
National advertising campaigns. Slips of paper that go in your phone bill.
Annual reports for major companies. Slogans on the back of business cards.
Speeches for senior corporate executives. Jokes for a birthday party.
Hour-long image-building corporate films. Ten-second hard-selling retail tags at the end of television commercials.
I’m a writer without pretense. I write because I love words and know how to put them together in meaningful ways that can sell a product, change a mind, reveal a truth, or tug a heart.
I've written advertising and marketing communications because I know how to sell.
I've written articles because I know how to think.
I write novels because I know how to tell a story.
I write screenplays because, well, I love movies.
